OCA Orthodox Church in America

The Orthodox Church in America maintains a very thorough web site, and although it only lists OCA parishes, their directory is helpful for those who will be traveling. The web site contains a wealth of other information, including liturgical music downloads.

holy_trinity_SF Holy Trinity Cathedral, San Francisco

Some of our parishioners have visited another Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, this one located in San Francisco. You can read about their bell collection, and also of interest is their web page devoted to Fr. Alexander Schmemann. You may find some of the obituaries written about that faithful servant of God especially interesting. Don't miss the one written by his wife, Matushka Julianna Schmemann, to the students of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary shortly after his death.

This is an excellent program which provides the daily troparian and kontakian as well as an image of the relevant icon for the day, and you can download it for free from the website Menologion. Just click on the link and then save the file to your computer. It is a self-extracting file. Please note that, unfortunately, there is only a Windows version of the program.
